Happy Customers!
This might be my new favorite ice cream spot! This location has been many things over the years, and I'm super happy with the latest iteration. First off--the vibes! They were playing soothing, classy classical music, which helped me feel relaxed. The flavors! I'm allergic to dairy and they had not one but THREE dairy free flavors when I went. I sampled them and they were all super smooth and creamy. It was hard to choose. And the value was amazing for the quality and quantity of gelato that you get ($5.50 and you can split two flavors). I finished my entire cup and never felt like it was too sugary. Just the right amount of sweet. I will definitely be back!

This place is the real deal. Small-batch, exquisitely flavored gelatos made and served by a lovely group of people (including the owners) who will remember you and make you feel like you're their neighbor in a small, artisanal, gelato serving corner of Rome or thereabouts. So, so good.

My husband and I consider ourselves gelato connoisseurs and Gelatoro definitely serves the best gelato in Austin. My husband had the stracciatella and I had the Belgian chocolate when we visited for the first time last weekend, The texture and consistency are perfect, and the flavors are spot on. They also have several diary-free flavors, such as mango, as well as coffee drinks, including affogatos., Multo autentoco! The owner and gelato maker is Italian, and she really knows what she is doing. The interior is clean and colorful, with plenty of seating. There is also outdoor seating, but that will have to wait until temps leave the triple digits. A real gem for the Hyde Park neighborhood.
